SWAK University Services (SWAKU) is an established institutional fundraiser offering both Room Essentials (Linens) and Care package solutions. Since 2009, SWAKU's focus has remained on providing dedicated partner support, responsive customer service, and superior commission returns to our partnering schools.
We currently partner with 80 schools in 48 states. As of 2022, we are the longest tenured company in the US providing these services.
Our Product Lines
We offer two different product lines for fundraising, Room Essentials (Linens) and Care Packages.
Our Room Essentials program offers the largest selection of products in the industry while maintaining our traditional standards of excellence in customer service, partner support, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipment deliveries. Our Room Essentials fulfillment is provided through our partnership with DormCo. DormCo is one of the leading providers of college linens & room essentials in the country.
Our Care Package program is the most robust in the industry. Our care packages are of the highest quality with each package individually hand-packed and incorporating only name-brand products. Care package fulfillment is handled in-house at our Kansas City Fulfillment Center.
Room Essentials
Our Room Essentials / Linen's fulfillment partner is DormCo. Over the course of 2 decades, DormCo has built a reputation as an industry leader in college residence hall room outfitting.
DormCo operates out of a brand new, state-of-the-art 107,000 square foot facility centrally located in Nashville, Tennessee.
DormCo is the only company in the country that is solely focused on the residence hall room experience. From sourcing and product development to the logistics of shipping to campus, we know we have a partner that cares as much about order accuracy, integrity, and quality as we do.
Our school Room Essentials stores feature 1000’s of products in over 10 categories. From twin xl bedding and comforters to storage options, carpets, tech, bath linens, and toiletries, SWAKU offers the largest selection of products for the residence hall room.
Our Room Essentials offering also includes 3 levels of discounted bundles. These bundles range from just the essentials to the comprehensive bundle on your left. Our bundles are extremely popular, offering both convenience and savings at the same time.
Our Room Essentials program currently includes 32 schools. Those school stores will start taking orders for the 2023/2024 school year starting June 1st, 2023. A list of those schools can be provided upon request.

On and Off Campus Shipping
We provide parents and students the option to ship their room essentials order directly to campus or home. Shipping home is a flat $11.95 charge while the cost for shipping and distribution are included in the product cost for on-campus delivery.
Care Packages
Our care packages are of the highest quality. As noted, our packages are hand packed, only include brand-name products and expiration dates are never an issue.
We design our care packages to fit in the box they are going in. A SWAKU box will be tightly packed to prevent the contents from moving during shipping, but not so tightly packed that contents get damaged or chip bags pop. Our goal is that when the lid gets opened by the Student, it looks exactly as it did when we closed the lid.
In addition to our standard care packages, we offer the ability to build a custom package. Our custom program allows families to really make the package their own as well as address any student dietary concerns. There is a $25 suggested minimum, but it is not a requirement; consequently, there is virtually no economic barrier to a family participating in the program. Families can even add individual products to one of our standard care packages, an option that is also not available through our competitors.
Care Package Plans
Selling package plans is hugely important to the overall success of a care package program. Plans generate over 50% of our annual care package sales. Throughout the year we offer 34 package plans for parents to choose from, no other fundraiser comes close.
Our plans range from 2 events to 6 events and allow parents to pick from 7 different package types. Prices range from $99.00 up to $365.00.

Customer Service
We are with Families every step of the way-from the time the letters hit their mailbox to the last text we send them letting them know their Student's package is available for pickup.

One Account Manager
Having one account manager means you have a partner with detailed knowledge of how you need things to be. Whether it's the level of detail needed on the student label (pre-applied), or shipping to arrive by a certain date to accommodate staffing shortages on your end, to doing list checks to see if Students' have changed residence halls prior to shipping. You can be secure in the knowledge that we are not just a company that markets care packages, we are your Partner.
Our Fulfillment Center
Located in Lenexa, KS, our Fulfillment Center is located situated 100 feet below ground in the Meritex Office Complex. Our Center houses our Customer Service Group, Print & Mailing Services, and all our Care Package fulfillment functions.
The Meritex Office Complex is an amazing facility supporting over 3 million square feet of business and light industrial space. This location is a former limestone mine that is uniquely well-suited for care package fulfillment.
The below ground location is virtually bug-proof, naturally temperature controlled, and inherently minimizes our environmental footprint.
